Ben is supporting Business Development & Marketing at Earthshot, where he focuses on identifying and nurturing relationships with high-integrity carbon project developers - particularly across Africa. Based in Cape Town, he is Earthshot’s first hire on the continent.

Before joining Earthshot, Ben led business development and partnerships at ReWild Africa. During this time, he was also selected as one of 15 finalists out of 15,000 applicants to join CNN Academy as a storyteller, where he produced a short documentary - The Plant Shepherd - on the most biodiverse desert in the world.

Ben is deeply interested in heterodox economics, and how we can reimagine nature within the metabolics of our global systems. He sees Earthshot as a catalyst to help mechanise that transformation.

He holds a double major in Investment Management and Economics, with a postgraduate degree in Sustainable Development. Outside of work, Ben enjoys climbing scary mountains, dancing to good music, playing tennis, writing poetry, and meditating.
