For Mariana, carbon projects begin with people and place. A Forestry Engineer with more than a decade of field experience, she has worked with Indigenous Peoples and rural communities across the Amazon and other tropical ecosystems and brings that perspective into every project she touches. Her Nature-based Solutions work spans REDD+, ARR, and ALM projects across Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. She works across standards including VCS, CCB, Gold Standard, SD VISta, Equitable Earth, and BioCarbon Registry, with particular depth in FPIC, stakeholder engagement, benefit sharing, and social safeguards. Mariana’s strength is bringing social and ecological perspectives together rather than treating them as separate parts of project design.
