Olivia Palma

Proposal and Carbon Projects Lead

Olivia has been working on Amazon conservation efforts since 2014, initially running operations for a not-for-profit organization dedicated to treating chronic illness utilizing the traditional system of Amazonian plant medicine. Over the course of four years, working alongside indigenous Shipibo healers, they ran the world´s first clinical trials aimed at demonstrating the efficacy of Amazonian plant medicine. Together, they were able to scientifically verify the successful remission of chronic diseases such as Crohn's, Graves, Hashimoto's, Lyme, and other diseases western medicine had not been able to diagnose.

Olivia is now working alongside indigenous leaders and Earthshot Labs to develop culturally relevant economic opportunities that enhance rainforest conservation. They are currently focused on implementing a REDD+ project to fund sustainable development within indigenous communities and continue Amazon conservation.

Olivia has a B. A from Lehigh University in Global Studies, and since graduating, has worked on impact projects in New York, Chile, Peru, and Germany, handling all aspects of project design and implementation, relationship and team management, and event production.
