Zane is an experienced forest carbon professional with a passion for effective integration of carbon projects into forest management strategies. He began his career by serving with SCS Global Services, a leading validation/verification body, for over 10 years. Zane then went on to work with one of the largest forest land managers in the United States, laying the groundwork for that company's monitoring, reporting and verification systems and facilitating a five-fold increase in its portfolio of carbon projects under management. Zane’s deep practical experience is complemented by advanced degrees in forest biometrics (M.S. conferred by Oregon State University, 2010) and business administration (M.B.A conferred by University of Washington Tacoma, 2024).
