Zane has spent more than 16 years looking at forest carbon from almost every angle. During a decade with SCS Global Services, he led validation and verification work across more than 35 North American IFM projects, learning firsthand what makes projects hold up under scrutiny. He later moved to the project side, building monitoring, reporting, and verification systems for one of the largest forest land managers in the United States and helping support a five-fold increase in its carbon project portfolio. That combination of auditor and operator experience shapes how Zane approaches IFM today. He holds an MS in Forest Biometrics from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Washington Tacoma.
