Dear Earthshot friends and allies,
The world has changed in a multitude of nuanced ways; record temperatures in Antarctica, war between Ukraine and Russia, pending SEC regulations requiring climate disclosures. And yet our team remains centered and optimistic, witnessing an unprecedented level of financial and cultural will towards addressing the climate and ecological crisis both addressing the symptoms (CO2 in the atmosphere) and fundamental drivers including inequality, land agency, and relationship with the rest of nature.
The Earthshot team just finished a beautiful team retreat in the Santa Cruz mountains, a time for ~25 of us to again drop into coherence while we’ve been doubling the team every two months. The retreat was framed by Joanna Macy’s Work that Reconnects, a narrative about the upcoming Great Turning for humanity, honoring our history while creating space for practical systemic changes that bring humans back into integrity with the rest of nature and each other.
Project pipeline: In service of this mission, Earthshot supports land stewards to develop their carbon projects to investability, and matching with corporates and investors who secure long-term pre-purchase agreements. We now have one of the world’s leading pipelines of the highest quality nature-based carbon projects, with 42 projects over 1.4m hectares, including Earthshot-operated projects in Panama, Brazil, Peru, and the US. For land stewards and investors/corporates interested in connecting, please email our partnerships team at partner@earthshot.eco.
